THE ladies who embrace the oldest profession in the world are both welcome and unwelcome in the economy. God fearing people will denounce them, but at times, turn their heads to look when they find that no one is watching.
The practical ones will patronise for a convenient quickie under the cover of darkness and anonymity. Revulsion or fascination, any topic involving prostitutes have a way of grabbing people’s attention.
And the same effect is expected when a netizen complained in a video post, stating that there were more and more prostitutes in Bukit Bintang.
In the video he is walking around the area and recording the ladies who stood by the sidewalk. He further hinted that DAP and Hannah Yeoh might be responsible for this problem.
The video can also be found at: https://x.com/khalids/status/2009935412274544691
Whether those girls in the video are prostitutes or not, is another question, of course.
“How do you know which one is a prostitute? They approached you?” netizen @phoonteckman asked to which @maulcoal sarcastically replied that the man had tried them, which was why he knew about it.

Then there was @slydeville5 pointing out that the prostitution should stop when the customers stop coming, including the person who made the video.
@slydeville5 added that such problems do not mushroom overnight because of DAP but have been occurring since many years ago.
Perhaps the best comment award went to netizen @ksampoh who gave him a quick guide on how law enforcement works where prostitution is concerned.

The sarcasm meter goes up another notch with @RohimmiNoor saying, “That is correct. Before Hannah Yeoh became the Minister in the Federal Territories, there were no prostitutes in the federal territory. All of them are searching for halal sustenance in the SG4 states which are spotlessly clean.”
On another note, the topic about prostitution in Bukit Bintang was also being discussed on a forum in Reddit. One user claimed the section starting from MC Donalds to Jalan Pudu, plus Jalan Alor and Changkat has always been like a red light district.
That said, perhaps @khalids who started the post, was overly sensitive over the prostitution activities in Bukit Bintang. — Focus Malaysia
