JOHOR BARU: Any action against Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli will only be taken if a formal complaint is submitted to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said any complaint against the Pandan Member of Parliament must be channelled to the party's Disciplinary Board.

"If there is a complaint, it must be referred to the Disciplinary Board. The board will assess the matter and take the necessary action," she said.

Fuziah, who is also the Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, said this after launching the Bazar Ramadan Rahmah National-Level 2026 at the Bazar Ramadan Rahmah in Perling here today.

Last Sunday, several former PKR ministers and Members of Parliament, including Rafizi, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Wong Chen and Rodziah Ismail, took part in the Himpunan Tangkap Azam Baki rally in front of the Sogo shopping complex in Kuala Lumpur.

Rafizi, who is also a former Economy Minister, spoke at the peaceful gathering and strongly urged Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki to be dismissed over the issue of share ownership.

PKR's silence on the matter has drawn criticism from various quarters, including leaders from Barisan Nasional.

Umno Batu division chief Gulam Muszaffar, in a statement last Monday, said PKR's Disciplinary Board should emulate Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who sacked his deputy, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, for breaching party ethics.

"If Muhyiddin had the courage to sack Hamzah and others for violating party ethics, I would like to ask whether PKR lacks the courage to act like Bersatu, which readily dismisses members who breach party ethics and discipline.

"I would like to see the courage of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, as PKR president, to take action against Rafizi," he said. - NST
