KUALA LUMPUR: The lawyer of independent preacher Muhammad Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu contended at the magistrate's court today that his client was free to travel abroad.
Lawyer Muhammad Hariz Md Yusoff said his 42-year-old client was never served with a Section 111 of the Criminal Procedure Code notice requiring him to go to the police.
"There was no communication at all indicating that he is a wanted man, or that an impending charge would prevent him from travelling overseas," he said. - NST
