Arun is among four people set to be charged in separate magistrates' courts tomorrow for allegedly stirring racial and religious tensions.

The activist told the New Straits Times that he would be charged under 505(B) of the Penal Code.

Section 505(B) pertains to making statements causing public alarm or fear.

"This is with regard to a video that I made pressuring the government to arrest independent preacher Zamri Vinoth last year or I will organise a rally.

"I will face the charge. I will not run away like some .... Rule of Law!" he added.

Arun said a police report was made in Batu Kawan last year against him.

The case is related to an Instagram video allegedly linked to religious incitement involving the Hindu community.

When contacted, state police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail confirmed Arun would be charged in the Jawi court tomorrow. - NST
