The party won one state seat, in Bayan Lepas, in August 2023.

Amanah secretary-general Faiz Fadzil said seat allocations would be negotiated within the unity coalition with the goal of achieving a “clean sweep” at GE16.
Faiz, who is also the Penang Amanah chief, said discussions on seat allocations in other states, including Melaka and Johor, are ongoing.
He also said there is no shortage of potential candidates in the party.
“We have many candidates. The list is being finalised, but there are not enough seats,” he told reporters after the party’s Hari Raya open house in Teluk Kumbar today.
Amanah currently has one state seat and no parliamentary seat in Penang.
The party contested only one parliamentary seat in Penang – Kepala Batas – at the 15th general election in November 2022 but lost.
It also contested two state seats in Penang – Permatang Pasir and Bayan Lepas – in August 2023.
Azrul Mahathir Aziz won in Bayan Lepas with a majority of 1,889 votes against Gerakan’s Dominic Lau. - FMT
