The prime minister says the mission requires several negotiations with the Egyptian government, which Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari could help facilitate.

He said the mission involves large-scale aid shipments and requires several negotiations with the Egyptian government.
“I had initially decided not to send anyone, but since this involves a large number of containers and negotiations with the Egyptian government and its military, I had to appoint a representative holding a government position to help facilitate matters,” he told reporters here after a Madani event.
Anwar said Malaysia’s aid to Gaza takes into account the severe difficulties currently faced by the people there.
Amirudin’s role in representing the government in the Gaza aid mission and the Global Sumud Flotilla delegation was announced by the Selangor MB’s office on Friday.
