PBB to introduce new faces every election, says Abang Jo

 The Sarawak premier says the party and its coalition partners seek a balance between experience and youth.

PETALING JAYA:

 Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) lynchpin Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) will introduce new faces in every election while maintaining a balance between experienced leaders and younger members, says Sarawak premier Abang Johari Openg.

He said PBB and its partners have a structured approach in which senior leaders mentor younger members, gradually entrusting them with greater responsibilities, Dayak Daily reported.

“Two or three new people will be introduced in every cycle, sometimes even more,” he was quoted as saying at a press conference after the GPS annual convention in Kuching today.

Abang Johari said structured guidance is important as younger leaders develop at a different pace.

He also cautioned against emotional responses when expectations are not met, stressing that political service requires patience and sincerity.

“We cannot take things personally because our main purpose is to serve,” he said. - FMT
