UNOFFICIAL: Jalaluddin holds on to Pertang

 Negeri Sembilan Umno chief is on course for a third victory in the constituency after reclaiming it in 2023.

Negeri Sembilan Umno chief Jalaluddin Alias is in a three-cornered fight for the Pertang seat against PH’s Umry Abdul Khois and Bersatu’s Faizal Fadli Idrus.

Negeri Sembilan Umno chief Jalaluddin Alias is on track to secure a third victory in the Pertang state seat, according to unofficial results.

He is in a three-cornered fight against Pakatan Harapan’s Umry Abdul Khois and Bersatu’s Faizal Fadli Idrus.

Jalaluddin first won Pertang in 2013 but did not defend the seat in 2018 after Umno fielded him for the Jelebu parliamentary constituency following the death of incumbent MP Zainudin Ismail.

He returned to contest Pertang in the 2023 state election, winning the seat by a 2,790-vote majority in a straight fight.

Jalaluddin was among the 14 Umno assemblymen who withdrew support for menteri besar Aminuddin Harun over his handling of the royal dispute between the four undangs and the Yang di-Pertuan Besar, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir. - FMT
