Four years on, police still on the hunt for Indira's ex-husband

Police have not given up on tracking down the ex-husband of M Indira Gandhi, despite efforts to determine his whereabouts since a warrant was issued for his arrest four years ago proving futile.
Perak Criminal Investigation Department senior assistant commissioner Yahya Abdul Rahman said since the arrest warrant was issued by the Ipoh High Court on May 30, 2014, police have been on the hunt for Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, formerly known as K Pathmanathan.
"Efforts to track him have been futile, although police had issued a media statement in the past to seek help from the public to locate Pathmanathan @ Riduan, as well as get him to contact the police or any authorities," Yahya said in a statement today.
In January this year, the Federal Court nullified the conversion of Indira's three children to Islam by Riduan in 2009, who did so without her consent.
He took away the youngest of the children, Prasana Diksa, when she was just 11 months old.
In his statement, Yahya said police have also notified Indira's lawyers on the steps they have taken to track down the fugitive Riduan.
He also urged for members of the public who have information on Riduan's whereabouts to contact their nearest police station.  -Mkini
