MACC takes files from DBKL, city hall says it's not a raid

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers have taken files from Kuala Lumpur City Hall's (DBKL) planning department.
However, DBKL executive director (planning) Datuk Mohd Najib Mohd confirmed the visit by MACC officers but clarified that it was not a raid.
"It was not a raid. They took some files to get details about several matters.
"We are cooperating with the inter-government investigation," he said when contacted.
This follows a similar visit in June when MACC officers loaded a truck with documents allegedly linked to the sale of 64 lots of DBKL land to the Federal Territories Foundation (YWP) between 2014 and 2018.
Several Kuala Lumpur MPs filed a complaint with MACC in May to investigate the land deals involving a total of 170ha and transactions worth RM4.28bil.- Star
