MH134: KL-bound plane forced to turn back to Brisbane

BRISBANE: Malaysia Airlines Flight MH134 was forced to return to Brisbane airport an hour after being airborne due to a technical fault.
A Malaysian travelling on MH134, which was bound for Kuala Lumpur, sent a text message to an editor at The Star with details of the incident.
According to him, the aircraft took off at 11.20pm Brisbane time (9.30pm Malaysian time).
About 40 minutes later, MH134 pilot Captain Charles Chelliah announced that the flight was required to return to Brisbane airport, Australia owing to technical issues..
However, the captain did not provide details of the problem.
According to the source, passengers on the flight experienced a rough landing and the aircraft suddenly came to a stop on the runway.
In a post-landing announcement, Charles said the aircraft was unable to taxi on it own and was waiting to be towed to the terminal.
He also explained that the plane cannot be towed because the landing gear door is open.
According to the Malaysian passenger, passengers have remained calm and almost all of them were seen texting their family and friends about the incident.
To his observation, the incident has also affected all other take-offs from Brisbane airport: “No flights taking off.”
As of 11.32pm Malaysian time, in-flight entertainment has been stopped and the aircraft remains on the runway.
Flight staff confirmed to the source that Brisbane airport is now closed to take-off and landings.
In a 12.12am update (Malaysian time), he said that the plane is currently being towed to the terminal.- Star
