Najib thanks supporters after bail is posted

Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak today thanked his supporters who raised funds for the remaining half of the RM1 million bail amount for his four charges linked to SRC International Sdn Bhd.
Najib, together with his wife Rosmah Mansor, arrived at the Jalan Duta Court Complex around 11.45am to cries of "Bebas Najib" (free Najib) from his supporters.
The couple entered the registrar's office for Najib to sign the necessary documents after two of his children – Nooryana Najwa and Noorashman – had earlier posted bail on his behalf.
Several minutes later, Najib addressed supporters and the members of the media who waited outside the office.

"I feel so touched by the donations from Umno members from all levels... This morning Razlan had handed over the donations raised," he said.
He was referring to former Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Razlan Rafii, who revealed that the party's Tabung Solidariti Najib has raised a total of RM489,166 as of 9.30am today.
The Solidariti Bersama Datuk Najib secretariat, which Razlan (centre in photo) chairs, launched the legal fund last Thursday.
"Before I came here this morning, there were members from Tumpat Umno division who came to my house," Najib added.
'Sign of love towards leader'
"This (the donations) is a sign of Umno members and ordinary citizens showing their love for a leader.
"It is hoped that with their prayers and blessings, my family and I will be able to successfully overcome this major challenge," the Pekan MP said.
Najib added that he was especially grateful and touched by the sincerity of his supporters who donated without any request from him.
Both Najib and Rosmah appeared to be in high spirits - engaging with their supporters, obliging to requests for photographs - before leaving the court complex at slightly past noon.
Some 50 supporters had gathered at the court complex since about 9am, including Razlan, Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam and former Umno deputy minister Rosnah Rashid Shirlin.
Also seen was local actress Ellie Suriati Omar, who caused a scene when she first appeared to show support for Najib in court last week.
Last Wednesday, Najib was charged with three counts of criminal breach of trust and one count of abuse of power in relation to transactions involving SRC International Sdn Bhd, a former 1MDB subsidiary.
Najib pleaded not guilty to all charges.
