ARE OUR 'MEN OR WOMEN' READY FOR ANY EVENTUALITIES?

Lives have to go even then we never learn.

Are our 'rescue men or women' prepared to face any eventualities?

Coffee shop talks claims our men or women do report for work at 8am, some early some even late but after clocking or thumb-printing their attend, they go "missing"(most of them).

The next minute they are missing, but you can find them at the canteen or mamak shop having or "tapau" their breakfast.

Back in the office after "tapau", they will head straight to the pantry to eat their breakfast and talk for hours.

Then, they will sit for a while and go into "hidding" again. But actually what happens is they are with the mobile phone whatsapping, playing cards, sleeping and some even seen going shopping during their working hours.

When a member of the public is there to see any of them, the other staff will cover-up by giving lame excuses.

The bosses also seem to be doing the same or fear his staff or have a "tidakpa attitude" towards them.

Malaysian public is paying them their wages to do their job.

Our essential service personnel never practice until they are called in to perform their task.

That is one of the main reasons why so many casualties during a rescue operation.

Even in Schools, most teachers are busy with their phones whatsapping, weehat, telegram, or watching video on youtube and so on, rather than teaching their students. Is this the kind of culture we are showing our school students who will be the future work force.

Its time our Ministers and the Ministry top official bucket-up and face the reality. Go to the ground and see what is happening. Do it in a surprise manner and you will confirm the correctness of this coffee-shop talks.

Malaysians have to change their work attitude mindset and be committed to their work. Then we will not hear of disasters of public servant while performing their duty or members of the public not having to wait for hours to see him/her to get things done. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
