INTERVIEW | Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu isn't big on protocol.
He's known for singing at events and has even had a cameo in a local Malay film recently.
These have often made him the butt of jokes among netizens, but Ahmad Faizal isn't bothered by it.
"I think, as long as I'm not robbing or stealing, then there's no problem," he told Malaysiakini in an interview on Monday.
"That's my stand on being an administrator... Be someone who is honest and sincere.
"I like to take it easy," Ahmad Faizal added.
He believes that his easy-going attitude will also make it easier for people to be more forthcoming with criticism of him.
"If you see me doing something wrong, it's easier for you to reprimand me. You don't have to go through the trouble of writing a letter," Ahmad Faizal said.
