KUALA Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will be closing its headquarters located on Jalan Raja Laut as a precautionary measure on the day of the anti-Icerd rally Saturday (Dec 8).
It is learnt that an internal memo was sent to all DBKL heads of department, informing them of the closure.
All official DBKL vehicles parked at Menara DBKL 1 and 2 will also be moved to its mechanical and electrical engineering department at Jalan Cheras.
This follows Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan's approval for the anti-Icerd rally to take place, on the basis that it will be conducted peacefully.
The rally is being organised by Malay-Muslim NGO Ummah and Sekretariat Kedaulatan Negara and both PAS and Umno have declared they would join the rally, as well as members of Malay rights group Perkasa.
The rally is set to take place from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday at Dataran Merdeka.-Star
