PUTRAJAYA: The colour red filled the halls of the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) here Friday (Dec 28) as traders started setting up stalls selling all kinds of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia memorabilia.
There were t-shirts with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's face and merchandise with the Bersatu logo.
Fauziah Ghani from Sepang, who sells batik silk shirts with the Bersatu logo, said these shirts sell like hot cakes with Bersatu members at any gathering.
“This is our third intake of the stock this year. At one time, we made RM6,000 a day just selling the t-shirts,” she said.cross the nation.
At another stall, t-shirts of all sizes were being sold for RM30 to RM50. Captions such as “Respect”, “Salute”, and “He is Not Perfect” adorn the t-shirts with Dr Mahathir’s face.
Bersatu’s second annual general meeting kicks off tonight (Dec 28). The three-day AGM will be attended by 2,000 delegates from across the nation.- Star
