EMBOLDENED BY LACK OF ACTION AGAINST IBRAHIM ALI, UMNO-LINKED NGO THREATENS TO STORM POLICE STATION, HURLS ‘P-WORD’ AT WAYTHA, ACCUSES TERESA KOK – WHILE IGP, MUHYIDDIN & MAHATHIR CAUGHT ‘SLEEPING’

KLANG — A pro-Malay group called Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Geras) has dropped fiery orator Datuk Azwanddin Hamzah from its endorsed list of their speakers, following the latter’s inflammatory remark against the police during its rally today.
Geras president Abu Bakar Mohamed said its rally today was only to demand justice for the late firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, and he was caught by surprise by the remark made by the president of its fellow pro-Malay group Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM).
“We were surprised to hear him say such things on stage and we certainly do not share his views on such actions.
“Geras stands for unity, we do not intend to create any sense of provocation or insensitive remarks,” he said to the press after the rally.
“My warning to them, is that they [must] arrest the developer, arrest the lawyers and if not we would attack the Klang police station,” he said to a roaring crowd.
Geras secretary Wan Asshima Kamaruddin has clarified that she had informed all of speakers to be mindful and refrain from hurtful or inflammatory remarks.
In a similar rally in Perak on Saturday, Azwanddin had then the prime minister should resign if he cannot fulfill the request of some Malays demanding to sack the minister in charge of national unity and social wellbeing.
Last month, Azwanddin and Gagasan 3’s chairman Ragvinder Singh Jess and deputy chairman Amran Ahmad Nor were among those investigated by the police following reports of allegedly incendiary speeches made by them.
JMM is advising Gagasan 3, which was formed last month with the sole intention of “declaring war” on Pakatan Harapan component, DAP, claiming the latter is the dominant voice in Putrajaya.
Last month, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had lambasted Azwanddin over provocative speeches the latter had made, which he said was aimed at causing bloodshed between the Malays and ethnic Chinese.
In a statement, the DAP secretary-general office said the JMM president was trying to incite the Malays to hate the ethnic minority and the Pakatan Harapan government. – MALAY MAIL

At rally for Adib in Klang, speaker uses the P-word on Waytha

Jaringan Melayu Malaysia president Azwanddin Hamzah today took the stage at a rally in Klang and proceeded to use the P-word on Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department P Waythamoorthy.
Some 2,000 people had attended the rally to demand justice for the late fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim who succumbed to injuries after being attacked by rioters near the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman temple last month.
“This is our warning, this is not Waythamoorthy, this is P****h-moorthy,” said Azwanddin as the crowd cheered him on.
“We did not change his name, P****h-moorthy,” he repeated. “We ask that P****h-moorthy resign”.
Azwanddin uttered the word, deemed derogatory to Indians, at least three times.
Azwanddin said this was a message that he wanted to convey to Putrajaya and warned that the Malays will rise up if the government did not accede to the demands.
Calling Adib a “warrior”, Azwanddin said his death had united Malays and Muslims.
“He is the reason for this rally uniting Malays and Muslims to stand in solidarity.
“Do not try to create nonsense against Malays or Muslims as we will arise and fight back,” he declared.
In the early hours of Nov 26, a group of thugs allegedly hired by the developer that owns the land on which the Sri Maha Mariamman temple sits had tried to take control of the land.
This led to a clash with Hindu devotees that escalated into rioting. The developer has denied hiring thugs.
The following day, tens of thousands of supporters gathered near the temple in a show of support but a second round of rioting broke out.
Adib was part of a Fire and Rescue Department team that had tried to put out vehicles that were set ablaze by rioters.
Authorities had said Adib was dragged out from his vehicle by rioters and beaten, causing him to suffer broken ribs and multiple organ injuries. He passed away on Dec 17.
Azwan, in his speech, also accused Seputeh MP Teresa Kok of having a hand in the temple riots claiming that she had links to the developer.
He claimed that Kok has not denied the claim, despite the DAP lawmaker having already issued a denial.
“Teresa Kok has to date not dared to make a police report or make a media statement to denial the matter. Today, I demand that police arrest Teresa Kok,” he said.
Kok had last month denied rumours on social media that she was linked to the developer.
“Please stop dragging me into the fiasco of the Hindu temple in USJ. I am not related to the developer and I have nothing to do with the project,” she said.
The developer, One City Development Sdn Bhd, is owned by Bursa Malaysia-listed MCT Bhd.
MCT Bhd is in turn majority-owned by the Philippines-based Ayala Corporation. – MKINI
