The following is not part of the Quran. It is however part of religion.
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 5, Number 277: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, ‘The (people of) Bani Israel used to take bath naked (all together) looking at each other. The Prophet Moses used to take a bath alone. They said, ‘By Allah! Nothing prevents Moses from taking a bath with us except that he has a scrotal hernia.’ So once Moses went out to take a bath and put his clothes over a stone and then that stone ran away with his clothes. Moses followed that stone saying, “My clothes, O stone! My clothes, O stone! till the people of Bani Israel saw him and said, ‘By Allah, Moses has got no defect in his body. Moses took his clothes and began to beat the stone.” Abu Huraira added, “By Allah! There are still six or seven marks present on the stone from that excessive beating.”
My comments : There are still six or seven marks on that stone ??
1. Where is this stone? Has anyone seen it?
2. How fast did the stone run? Moses was able to catch up with it.
3. How long did the chase last?
4. After the beating did the stone return to its original position? Or it sat in a new position.
5. How did the stone run? Did it roll like a rolling stone? Did it bounce up and over?
6. If it rolled, how did Moses clothes not fall off the rolling stone ?
The Jewish teachings are very strict about modesty of both women and men. And the Jews have strict rules against nudity (nakedness) not only in public but also in the privacy of the home. Here is something about nudity from the Jewish religion :
"The principle of tzniut rejects all nudity, not only in public, but also before family members at home. (Thus one must not pray or recite the Shema prayer while one is naked or standing in the presence of a naked person.) The rejection of nudity recalls Adam and Eve who, after committing the first sin, realized they were naked and instinctively felt ashamed and hid (Genesis 2:25). The same attitude reappears when Noah curses Ham, who saw his father exposed (Genesis 9:21-27).."
7. In which direction did the stone run? North, south, east, west?
Stones seem to play a very big part in religion.
