Here is my prediction. Our Education Disaster Maszlee Malik has allowed politics on campus. Political parties can enter campuses, hold speeches and programs and university students can be politicised on our campuses.
Mark my words - this will cause violence on our campuses.
This is my prediction. It is just a matter of time.
There will be violence.

Here is some news about universities in today's Turkey - under the failed caliph Recip Tayep Erdogan. The writer - a Turk - says Turkish universities are going down the religious drain pipe. Here is something about Turkish education that has semblances of more disaster in the Islamic world. My comments after this.
The Great Turkish Brain Drain
by Burak Bekdil
December 19, 2018
This author once described a Turk university as "just a group of buildings gathered around a library and a mosque".
Today, universities in Turkey are increasingly becoming seats of Islamic learning, zeal and government bootlicking.
Life, for many scholars, is gloomy.
Since attempted coup in July 2016, 6,000 academics dismissed
including 378 who signed Peace petition condemning security ops vs Kurds
38 academics from public u, 48 from private u dismissed for signing the petition
265 academics who signed "peace call" prosecuted for terrorism
- only 2 Turk u's, out of 200, in Times Higher Education's top 500
- not one Turkish u in top 350 list
"Most better ones tend to leave the country," said one university professor
According to official statistics, 253,640 people emigrated in 2017
42% year-on-year increase
leaves Turkish campuses with growing number of eccentric, Islamist scholars
who express bizarre conservative ideas
unconditional admiration of "great leader," Erdoğan
"Academic bootlicking become campus norm" said the professor
Not shocking - president appoints presidents of all 200 universities
Islamist eccentricities in Turkish academia become more visible
Nureddin Yıldız, Islamist, president of Sosyal DokuFoundation, argued "working women paved the way for prostitution."
Alparslan Kuytul, founder of Islamic foundation, Furkan, said a man would be sexually aroused if he saw the naked leg of his own mother
Associate Professor Teyfur Erdoğdu told state broadcaster TRT that he regularly met with Allah and the Prophet Mohammad in his dreams
Vural Bulut, a scholar at the Çanakkale 18 Mart University and head of the university's media center, called Erdoğan's opponents "sons of bitches".
Another pro-govt academic, Dr. Yavuz Örnek from Istanbul U claimed technology more advanced during Prophet Noah than today
Örnek said Noah talked to his son on mobile phone
Necdet Budak, president Aegean U ordered staff to line up by road to greet Erdoğan
382 academics, staff stood by the road "to welcome" president.
Budak is former MP from Erdoğan's Justice and Development Party
colourful personality, Ahmet Ağırakça, president of Artuklu University
proposed u presidents wear sheik's turban instead of robe
Professor Ibrahim Emiroğlu, head of research at Eylül University
women's period, he said, was an illness that "must be treated"
He advised that 15-year-old girls should be married
He advised all women should wear headscarf or hijab
claimed "greatest threat [to society] is secularism".
Professor Mehmet Karalı, dean at Necmettin Erbakan University
tweeted he "would not vote for any woman candidate"
he argued best place for woman was her home
According to Turkey's top cleric, Professor Ali Erbaş, head of the Turkish government's powerful Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), "children who do not read the Quran are with Satan and Satanic people".
Praising Diyanet, Erdoğan granted 34% Budget increase to US$1.97 b
> four times budget for Science and Technology Ministry
Academia simply turned into rival Islamists who want to impress leader
"A University should be a place of light, of liberty and of learning."
Turk u's "place of darkness, suppression, highly questionable learning"
Burak Bekdil, one of Turkey's leading journalists, was recently fired from the country's most noted newspaper after 29 years, for writing what is taking place in Turkey. He is a Fellow at the Middle East Forum.
My comments : Does this sound familiar? This is how Islamic countries go down the toilet. Hocus pocus becomes mainstream, especially among their academics.
I dont see how "religion" can become any type of useful academic study at all.
Tak ada proof lah brader. Tidak boleh gunakan akal dalam hal agama.
Imagine this : Universiti Tidak Boleh Menggunakan Akal.
Why not? This is what YOU (yes you Mr Muslim reader) say about religion.
Tidak boleh gunakan akal dalam agama. Kennot use brain in religion.
Bukan saya cakap tau. Awak yang cakap.
Maybe your son can become 'Dekan, Fakulti Tidak Boleh Menggunakan Akal'.

Back to Malaysian universities.
In Malaysia everything is race, race, race.
Simplified, it is the "terkebelakangan" of just one race the Malays.
The non Muslim Dayaks, Kadazans may stand a better chance at progressing more quickly.
Just when the Malays were learning to appreciate the "value of time" the religious fellows arrived and said things like "there is no time value of money" for example.
Now they are politicising the campuses.
The Malay kids need to be left alone and the young girls unmolested (not married off at 15 years) for them to learn and prosper. There is so much that they do not know.
Whether there is politics on campus or not the Chinese students will not get involved. They will attend their lectures, study hard, graduate, get good jobs and prosper.
The Ceylon Tamils, Malayalis and Telugus will do the same.
Some Indian Tamils (not all) will possibly join politics and become confused as well.
The Malay students will get involved with pas-pis-pus, umno, whatever politics on the campuses and waste more of their study time.
Since politics has come to campus, they will use politics as an excuse not to study or learn or do other more useful things during their university years. Finally they will become even more "unemployable" graduates.
Then after another 15 years you will be wondering 'What went wrong?'
Pasal apa budak-budak kita masih dungu salam?
The Education Disaster Maszlee Malik has to go.
He is not even fit to be head of the Surau al Nur (there is one at every corner.)
