MCA: When will Kit Siang apologise for Dr M 'most corrupt' PM claim?

When will Lim Kit Siang apologise for the deluge of accusations he levelled against Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad in the past, asked MCA vice-president Ti Lian Ker.
He said MCA is now vindicated for not listening to Lim and DAP at that point to attack Mahathir over the latter's alleged misdeeds.
For decades, he said DAP criticised Mahathir for being a dictator, labelled him the most corrupted prime minister and linked him and his family to a slew of mega scandals.
“MCA will continue to uphold the rule of law and allow the due process of law to take place. MCA will consider Lim's advice on 1MDB when he apologises to the nation for all the 'false accusations' he made against Mahathir in the past decades,” he added in a statement this afternoon.
He was responding to Lim, who accused MCA of cowardice for not repudiating former premier Najib Abdul Razak over the 1MDB scandal during its recent annual general assembly.
On a sarcastic note, Ti thanked Lim for his continuous concern, which he claimed bordered on obsession, regarding MCA.
“It is heart-warming that despite being part of the current administration, the senior member of Parliament shows more interest in commenting on MCA's affairs instead of the issues faced by his constituents and the nation over the past six months,” he added.
Ti said Lim should be offering constructive solutions to the country's economic situation including the weakening Ringgit, uncertainties in the financial markets, the rising cost of living, job opportunities and the breach of promises in Pakatan Harapan's election manifesto.
He also countered Lim's description of MCA as a “mosquito party”, pointing out that PKR, which now has the most number of parliament seats, had only won one in the 2004 general election.
“Yes. MCA may be down now but we are not out and will continue to be DAP's nightmare and phobia. Sorry, DAP's wish to eliminate MCA in the last general election failed. MCA will still be around with dignity and sincerity to the community's cause even if without any seats.

“We will not vanish and will continue to be around to fulfil the principles of the two-party system that Lim had hypocritically promoted.
“The rule of the game is that there must always be check-and-balance, of which Lim has conveniently forgotten now that he is governing,” he added. - Mkini
