Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah is sticking with her guns on her decision to quit as a PKR vice-president and Penang chief.
This is despite many calls for her to retract her resignation.
"Am very touched (by the appeals). But, no," she told Malaysiakiniwhen contacted.
She was responding to 13 Penang PKR divisions appealing for her to hang on to her party positions.
Nurul made the surprise move to let go of her posts yesterday, citing the need to stay true to her personal beliefs.
The Permatang Pauh MP also said she would not serve the government in any capacity.
Besides Nurul Izzah, Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Karim also turned down his appointment as the Johor PKR chief, claiming that the selection process for state heads was not transparent. -Mkini
