Qatar emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani is scheduled to visit Malaysia this week where he will honour the winners of the Rule Of Law and Anti-Corruption Center's International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award during a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad is also expected to attend the event, which is being held in cooperation with the United Nations, reported the Qatar News Agency.
Both Mahathir and Sheikh Tamim will honour the winners of the four awards, which will be for lifetime/outstanding achievement, innovation, youth creativity and engagement, and academic research and education.
Tamim has been scheduled to also hold discussions with Mahathir on Thursday, aimed at promoting bilateral relations.
They are expected to talk on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
