Rozan Azen Mat Rasip, aide to PKR vice-president Chua Tian Chang, has apologised to Batu MP P Prabakaran.
The apology came after Chua, better known as Tian Chua, asked Rozan and Prabakaran to bury the hatchet and apologise to each another.
"I would like to apologise to my employer Batu MP P Prabakaran if my action and announced resignation was done in a rash manner and had caused trouble," Rozan said in a statement today.
Last Saturday, Rozan announced his resignation as Prabakaran's secretary, citing a lack of mutual understanding and alleged interference.
Rozan had served as the secretary to the office of the Batu MP since 2010.
Subsequently, Prabakaran said he had never hired Rozan as his secretary, stating that Rozan was only the coordinator for the Batu parliamentary seat.
He also accused Rozan of being "excessively egoistic" and unable to take criticism.
Earlier today, Chua who is the Batu PKR chief, said Rozan should have consulted him before resigning and making the issue public.
Chua also criticised Prabakaran for his "very rude" statement against Rozan and asked the duo to apologise to each other within 24 hours.
Following his apology, Rozan said he was also retracting his resignation.
Rozan said his decision was on the advice of PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, Tian Chua as well as feedback from the grassroots in the Batu parliamentary seat.
Rozan was formerly the PKR Youth information chief and has been part of the reformasi movement since its inception.
At the time of writing, Prabakaran has yet to issue a public apology. Tian Chua was the Batu MP from 2008 until 2018.
In the 14th general election, he was disqualified due to a conviction for allegedly disobeying police instructions.
Tian Chua then backed Prabakaran, who was at the time an unknown, leading to a landslide victory against BN.
He since has been mentoring Prabakaran and using his machinery to assist the new MP. - Mkini
