Azmin concurs with Mukhriz - No two-year timeline

Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali (photo, above) today indicated his agreement to a series of comments by Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir on there being no two-year deadline set for PKR president Anwar Ibrahim to be made prime minister.
Asked for comments on Mukhriz's reported remarks in a recent interview with Nikkei Asian Review, Azmin smiled and gave a one-word response.
"Agree," the PKR deputy president told reporters as he was about to leave Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre after launching the Graduan Aspire Career Fair this morning.
Azmin was directly asked whether he agreed there was no two-year deadline set for Mahathir to hand over the reins to Anwar.
"There was no agreement that it has to be two years.
“There may have been suggestions like that, but nothing was stated on paper or in a verbal agreement," Mukhriz was quoted as saying.
Mukhriz in the interview also said that the general consensus in Pakatan Harapan is that Mahathir should be allowed the time to fix the nation's economic woes before passing the baton.
Azmin earlier spoke to the media on issues related to the economy and the day's event.
He proceeded to end the interview before taking questions on other matters while making his way to his car. - Mkini
