KUALA LUMPUR: Transport Minister Loke Siew Fook said today Malaysia will submit its bid to retain its seat on the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s governing council for a fifth consecutive term..
Loke said Malaysia had assumed an active and prominent role in the council and its many panels, committees and working groups.
Members of the council will be elected at the ICAO assembly to be held in Montreal, Canada, from Sept 28 to Oct 14.
He called on ICAO members to support Malaysia’s effort to retain its seat for another three-year term.
Malaysia has been an ICAO member since 1958. - FMT
