PETALING JAYA: Cops are hunting for a man, who allegedly sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl at a supermarket in Country Homes, Rawang.
The video of the attack, which depicted the man hugging the girl from behind before rubbing his private parts against the girl's buttocks, have since gone viral on social media.
The clip also showed the man fleeing the scene soon after his attack on the girl.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Samsor Mansor said the incident occurred at 6.19pm on July 10.
"The girl's father has since lodged a report on the matter.
"We are mobilising our resources to track down and detain the suspect as soon as possible," he said when contacted on Sunday (July 14).
He added the case is classified under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act.- Star
