De facto Law Minister Liew Vui Keong today announced that the Prime Minister's Question Time (PMQT) will be implemented in the Dewan Rakyat’s next session.
This came barely a week after Liew shot down the PMQT idea on the basis that Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad attended the Dewan Rakyat frequently to answer questions.
“The prime minister has expressed his intention that he is interested to answer the questions,” Liew told the Dewan Rakyat during the question-and-answer session today.
“It is under the process and we hope to have the PMQT during the next (Dewan Rakyat) session (in October),” he told Wong Chen (PKR - Subang).
