Pemikir Islam Yang Pernah Di Gelar Ateis, Murtad, Sesat oleh 'pegawai agama dunggu' zaman silam.

Someone sent this to me.  Ibn Khaldun is not on this list. One scholar who studies Ibn Khaldun says that Ibn Khaldun called the religious guys 'monkeys'.

For the Muslim readers (and perhaps the non Muslims) it will be good if you Googled all the above names.  

I have read some biography of almost all these Muslim scientists and thinkers here.  (Inside one book, lent to me by an ex Catholic priest from Klang, who renounced the church and became an atheist.  Écho dei to fos sou.)

If you dont have time to check out all of them just Google Ibn Hayan (Jabir Ibn Hayan) and Ibn Firnas.   You will learn how great were these early Muslim scientists and thinkers.  

Jabir ibn Hayan is known as 'Geber' to the West and is credited as the Father of Chemistry.

You will also learn that the 'jabatan agama' existed even during that time and they were already morons then.  

That is how this list of atheist and heretic Muslim scientists was compiled.  All the above figures were persecuted by their respective jabatan agama.  

Contohnya Abū Mūsā Jābir ibn Hayyān, atau Ibn Hayan. Barat mengenali Jabir sebagai 'Geber'. Jabir Ibn Hayan pernah digelar ateis, sesat, murtad dan sebagainya oleh puak agama totok.

Pengkaji Barat pula telah muliakan kerjaya dan karya kimia dan sains oleh Jabir Ibn Hayan dengan memberi pangkat iktiraf "Jabirian Corpus". 

Ilmu sains yang dipelopori Jabir Ibn Hayan termasuk kimia, matematik, cosmology, perubatan dan falsafah.

Bagi saya (dengan sungguh sedihnya), Jabir Ibn Hayan telah juga membuat 'contribution' yang besar kepada bahasa Inggeris.

Perkataan Inggeris 'gibberish' telah dicipta daripada nama 'Jabir'.  The English word 'gibberish' comes from the name 'Jabir' or 'Geber'.  Gibberish maksudnya cakap gabrar or talking nonsense.

Sebagai ahli kimia Jabir Ibn Hayan telah memahami bahawa apabila dua atau tiga bahan dicampur dan ber-reaksi, maka akan terhasil satu bahan yang baru yang mempunyai ciri dan karakter yang berbeza daripada bahan asas tadi.

Jabir ibn Hayan figured out that when two or three substances reacted with each other a new substance (a new compound) was created which had its own properties that were different from the properties of the substances it was made from. This was 1200 years ago.

• Maka Jabir Ibn Hayan telah mula memahami fakta kimia berkenaan 'compounds' dan bahawa manusia pun boleh 'membuat' compound yang baru. 
• Jabir understood that human beings can create new 'compounds' through chemistry. 

And then all his problems started.  

Selepas itu segala masalah pun bermula dengan jabatan agama dunggu. Dan nama Jabir ibn Hayan tersenarai sebagai sesat, ateis, murtad dan macam-macam lagi lah.

What happened was as a scientist Jabir Ibn hayan began talking about his discovery. He told people that you can "mix" or 'fuse' two or more different substances each with its specific property and then create a new 'compound' which has completely new and different properties.   (This would also progress the science of metallurgy).

New materials can be created by human beings.

Tapi para dunggu jabatan agama yang tak faham apa pun telah menuduh Jabir Ibn Hayan sebagai mengangkat dirinya menjadi sama taraf dengan tuhan.  

Mereka berkata, 'Only god can create anything. Human beings cannot create anything new.  If you say you can create something new you are trying to be god. This is heresy.'

Dan mereka telah mula mengawasi Jabir Ibn Hayan, membuat fatwa menggelar Jabir murtad dan sebagainya. 

Jabir ibn Hayan pun takut akan ditangkap, dipenjara, dibunuh dan sebagainya tetapi pada masa yang sama Hamba Allah Jabir masih gah dan seronok untuk meneruskan kajian saintifik dan eksperimen kimia yang sangat disukainya itu.

Dan Jabir mula mendiamkan diri. He stopped talking to outsiders about his chemistry experiments.  

Tetapi para dunggu jabatan agama tidak give up. Mereka merampas nota-nota dan catatan yang dibuat oleh Jabir. He was a scientist. He wrote everything down. 

Sudah lah tidak boleh bersuara. Sekarang Hamba Allah Jabir tidak boleh menulis nota pun. 

Untuk mengatasi masalah ini pula  Jabir Ibn Hayan terpaksa 'disguise' atau menyamar tulisan dia sekali. Beliau menggunakan 'code' yang tidak boleh difaham oleh jabatan agama untuk menulis nota-nota eksperimennya dan catatan-catatan berkenaan penemuan saintifiknya.

Nota-nota saintifik  Jabir ibn Hayan tersimpan dan dikumpulkan oleh pengkaji Barat dan mereka telah menciptakan perkataan baru 'gibberish' (diambil dari nama Jabir atau Geber) yang bermaksud 'talking nonsense' atau 'cakap gabrar' yang tidak boleh difaham oleh orang biasa.


The moral of the story is :  Dari dulu lagi umat Islam didunggukan oleh pegawai-pegawai agama.
