IPOH: Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (pic) underwent an operation after suffering from cellulitis on his left leg.
A statement issued by the Mentri Besar's office stated that the operation was conducted on Tuesday (July 23) night after he contracted the serious bacterial skin infection.
"He is now admitted in a hospital to undergo treatment with antibiotics.
"He is advised to rest for five days to reduce the swelling on his leg due to the infection," it read.
Earlier in the day, the first day of the Perak legislative assembly, Ahmad Faizal had walked in with crutches.- Star
