PKR disciplinary board to contact Farhash over alleged Azmin slur

The PKR Disciplinary Board will contact Perak PKR chairperson Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak and several other individuals to seek clarification on their recent public statements.
According to PKR Communications director Fahmi Fadzil, this was decided at tonight's political bureau meeting held at the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya tonight.
"The political bureau has informed the disciplinary board to call in some party members and leaders, including Farhash and several other individuals. I believe they will be contacted about their statements.
"It is not Farhash alone (who is the concern of the disciplinary board). Every week, the disciplinary board reports to the political bureau when we meet.
"There are many individuals who may have many cases. With regards to recent statements, (this will concern) Farhash and several other individuals, "he said.
However, when questioned about the "other individuals", Fahmi did not want to elaborate and asked reporters to contact Disciplinary Board chairperson Ahmad Kassim.
Fahmi was believed to be referring to Farhash's (photo) statement when he shouted "Azmin semburit" after being released from remand at Dang Wangi IPD yesterday.
Semburit is a Malay word referring to men involved in gay sex.
Farhash was recently remanded by the police to assist in investigating the dissemination of a sex video allegedly implicating PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali and former Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz.
According to sources, one of the other individuals discussed is Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari.
On July 21, Amirudin said the mastermind behind the video was "someone who had been through a similar ordeal and fought through a dark period of history."
Sources also said that another individual is Azmin's adviser Khalid Jaafar, who made comments which were critical of party president Anwar Ibrahim.
The meeting ended at approximately 10pm.
Anwar who was present did not want to answer questions and instead instructed the press to direct their questions to Fahmi.
The meeting was also attended by other members of the political bureau, including Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Tian Chua, Saifuddin Nasution, Lee Chean Chong, Chang Lih Kang, Dr Xavier Jayakumar, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad and Syed Husin Ali.
Tian Chua was seen leaving the meeting about half an hour earlier than the others.
Those who didn't attend retreat
Fahmi also told the press that the 20 PKR leaders who did not attend the leadership council in Port Dickson which signed a resolution giving Anwar their backing would be given a chance to read the resolution and sign it.
120 of out 140 invited leaders, including members of the party's Central Executive Council, as well as its MPs, Senators and state assemblypersons, attended the leadership council.
"We are committed to strengthening PKR as a multi-racial party based on the principles of the constitution and ensuring that the Pakatan Harapan manifesto is applied.
"We hereby give full support to party president Anwar to lead the party to be the cornerstone of Pakatan Harapan, in line with all the provisions as contained in the party's constitution," read the statement which was signed by the 120 members. - Mkini
