Zaharudin yet to face disciplinary committee over 'dedak cartel' issue

PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan today confirmed that Sungai Buloh PAS chief Zaharudin Muhammad (photo, above) has not been called up to the party's disciplinary committee over the "dedak cartel" issue he raised in May.
"The disciplinary committee has still to hear more evidence and make further evaluations. He (Zaharudin) will be summoned in the near future," he told Malaysiakini.
Takiyuddin said the disciplinary committee had also set up an investigation sub-committee over the matter.
"The disciplinary committee has also set up an investigation sub-committee and the results of the investigation will be brought to the disciplinary committee for evaluation," he said.
Zaharudin, who is also the son-in-law of PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang, caused shockwaves in that party when he spoke about funds from Umno which he claimed were accepted by five PAS leaders he called a "dedak cartel".
In a Facebook post, he claimed the cartel comprised five individuals known as "Dr Hussam II," "Mr NT," "Mr KT," "Mr KH," and "everyone knows".
PAS then issued a directive prohibiting its members from bringing up and discussing any issues related to the party's affairs in the media and on social media.
The order was delivered by Takiyuddin and he also reminded party members to express their views and criticism through party channels.
