COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 1,627 new daily cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,853,523.
Active cases currently stood at 23,121, down 5.8 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another four deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as "brought in dead".
Over the past week, an average of 3.4 people were reported to have died, while the average for the past 30 days was 4.3, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,398 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
The state with the highest number of deaths was Johor (2) followed by Pahang (1) and Selangor (1).
There are 963 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 43 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (98), followed by Sabah (78) and Johor (35). - Mkini
