COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 2,022 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,986,294.
Active cases currently stood at 27,207, down 5.5 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Kedah (148)
Penang (134)
Malacca (128)
Sarawak (87)
Kelantan (81)
Perak (75)
Pahang (65)
Negeri Sembilan (59)
Terengganu (55)

Another four deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday - in Perak, Sabah, Selangor, and Terengganu.
Over the past week, an average of 8.1 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 6.3, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,652 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There are 1,989 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 101 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (133) followed by Sabah (96) and Johor (66). - Mkini
