Covid-19 (Nov 9): 3,267 new cases, 10 deaths

 

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,267 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.

Active cases currently stood at 34,829, up 21.3 percent compared to 14 days ago.

New cases according to states are as follows:

Perak (216)
Malacca (185)
Sabah (173)
Kelantan (161)
Kedah (157)
Putrajaya (146)
Penang (145)
Sarawak (132)
Pahang (112)
Negeri Sembilan (99)
Johor (68)

Labuan (24)
Perlis (5)

Another 10 deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which 2 were declared as "brought in dead".

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,514 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.

There have been 39 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 101 deaths last month and 158 deaths in September.

These deaths were reproted in Sabah (3), Johor (2), Kedah (2), Perak (1), Selangor (1) and Kuala Lumpur (1).

There are 1,635 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 91 are in intensive care.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (143) followed by Sabah (103) and Johor (77). - Mkini
