KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki urged Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) to investigate the offers made by Perikatan Nasional (PN) to the 10 Barisan Nasional (BN) members of parliament.
He said the investigation will prevent the same thing from happening again in the future.
"PN has not gotten over its old habit of stealing MPs.
"I do not know what are the offers but I hope MACC can investigate," he said at KL World Trade Centre today.
He said the 10 MPs who signed the statutory declaration (SD) earlier might have forgotten that they had agreed to give the mandate on the prime minister candidate and formation of government to BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
He said all the candidates signed four documents to prevent them from flouting the anti-hopping law.
He said the seats contested and won by BN candidates do not belong to them personally, but to BN as a party.
"That was the reason why the 10 MPs signed another SD to revoke their support for PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the next prime minister.
"There is also no question of signing it under duress. We were not forced to do it.
"Everyone accepted that an en bloc decision will be made." he added.
Meanwhile, Asyraf Wajdi also called on MCA leaders to step down over failure to woo the Chinese voters to BN.
He said MCA only won two seats and that too, were in Malay majority constituencies.
"They should resign first for failing to garner Chinese votes,"
"If they are among the 10 MPs who signed the SD, they must face disciplinary action." he added.
