PETALING JAYA: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman Hajiji Noor has denied joining Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat and independent MPs in a recent meeting with Muhyiddin Yassin in Kuala Lumpur.
In a statement, Hajiji said the MPs had met Muhyiddin on their own accord, adding: “I was not directly involved in the meeting.”
The Sabah chief minister also denied state Barisan Nasional (BN) chief Bung Moktar Radin’s accusation that GRS had “declared war” against BN by backing Perikatan Nasional to form the government.
“I hope Umno/BN will continue working (with GRS) in governing Sabah in line with the mandate given by the people in the 16th state election (in 2020),” he said.
