PETALING JAYA: The number of flood victims in Johor rose to 93 as at 8am after Kota Tinggi became the latest district in the country to be hit by flash floods.
Some 21 people had been evacuated in Segamat yesterday following floods, which affected Kampung Seberang Batu Badak, Kampung Batu 5 and Kampung Kuala Paya.
According to Bernama, the flash flood in Kota Tinggi affected Kampung Sri Jaya and Kampung Sri Delima. Some 72 victims were evacuated.
Meanwhile, 528 people in Tenom, Beaufort and Kunak are being housed at seven relief centres in Sabah due to floods in the three districts.
The state disaster management committee said Tenom had the highest number of flood victims, with 443 people affected. - FMT
