PETALING JAYA: The road transport department (JPJ) has recalled a total of 3,657 Perodua Alza and Aruz cars and 65 Honda CB350RS motorcycles.
The cars recalled are the Perodua Alza 1500 X; Alza 1500; Alza 1500 AV; Aruz 1500 X; and the Aruz 1500 AV.
Owners should get their vehicles checked as soon as possible, JPJ director-general Aedy Fadly Ramli said in a statement.
He said the headlights of the five Perodua models did not meet specifications, while the motorcycles were recalled due to issues with its sensors which has affected its traction control, speedometer and ABS system.
Aedy said the manufacturers will replace the faulty parts at their own cost. “Owners will be contacted by Perodua and Boon Siew Honda to have their cars and motorcycles checked. Owners can also go to the nearest service centre,” he said.
For more information, Alza and Aruz owners can contact Perodua at 1-800-88-6600 or visit https://www.ufirst.com.my/member/login or via the U-First app.
