Muhammed Hasbullah Ali appointed as new traffic police director

 

KUALA LUMPUR: Several senior police officers will assume new postings following a reshuffle announced by Bukit Aman today.

Police secretary Deputy Commissioner Abdul Rahman Kassim said Datuk Seri Muhammed Hasbullah Ali, formerly head of the Anti-Money Laundering Crime Investigation Team (AMLA) at the Inspector-General of Police Secretariat, Bukit Aman, has been appointed director of the Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department.

"Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri has been transferred from his post as director of the Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department to the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department director's post.

"Meanwhile, Datuk Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad, who was previously the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department director, has been appointed commissioner at the Inspector-General of Police's Secretariat (Research and Development), Inspector-General of Police Secretariat, Bukit Aman," he said in a statement today.

Assistant Commissioner Zulkipli Suhaili, previously the Sibu district police chief, has been transferred to the Sarawak contingent headquarters as Head of the Management Department, carrying the acting rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC).

"Assistant Commissioner Roselina Daud, formerly Head of the Integrity and Standards Compliance Department in Sarawak, has been appointed Head of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, Sarawak, with acting Senior Assistant Commissioner rank.

"Assistant Commissioner Pozlan Ibrahim, previously head of the Mechanical Engineering Studies Centre at the Police Technical Academy in Bakri, Muar, Johor, has been transferred to Bukit Aman as Deputy Director (Religion and Counselling) at the Integrity and Standards Compliance Department, also with acting Senior Assistant Commissioner rank," he said.

The reshuffle will take effect from Feb 9. - NST
