The Tasek Gelugor MP was sacked from Bersatu in October.

In a Facebook post, Wan Saiful said he had sent a letter to Bersatu’s disciplinary board, informing its members of the matter.
He said that when the party decided to take action against him, he was accused, among others, of pushing for Perikatan Nasional to establish an executive committee and subsequently the presidential council.
However, he said that Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin had also pushed for a similar initiative.
“This is the hypocrisy displayed by Muhyiddin and his sycophants,” he said.
“This has led to Bersatu straying from its people-centric agenda.”
Wan Saiful was given the boot by Bersatu in October for violating the party’s constitution and code of conduct.
On Feb 3, he presented the grounds for his appeal against his sacking to the party’s appeals board.
The disciplinary board decided to expel Wan Saiful, along with other division chiefs, reportedly over allegations that the group was involved in a “statutory declaration (SD) movement” aimed at toppling Muhyiddin and their alleged role in a recent commotion during an official event.
A viral WhatsApp message claimed that Wan Saiful allegedly organised the collection of SDs to push for Hamzah Zainudin, the deputy president at the time, to take over the party leadership.
Muhyiddin said during his policy speech at the annual general meeting that there was a plot to collect signatures to oust him, sparking chaos.
Hamzah was sacked on Feb 13. - FMT
