KUALA LUMPUR: A customer has claimed that a parcel containing 18 porcelain plates arrived in pieces, allegedly damaged after being thrown during delivery, despite being clearly marked "fragile."
In a video shared on Threads, the woman alleged that the package was mishandled in transit.
She said the box, which bore a "fragile" sticker, made the sound of breaking glass as it was tossed.
The video quickly went viral online, prompting concern among netizens over how courier services handle delicate items.
In an update to her post, the woman said the courier company had contacted her to apologise for the incident and offered a full refund.
"The company has reached out. They apologised for the inconvenience, will investigate the matter, and improve their training. Hopefully, this serves as a lesson to enhance their services," she wrote.
She added that she intended to delete the post later and denied that the video was part of any marketing campaign.
The customer also confirmed she would be compensated and would provide a full list of damaged parcels.
"I will provide a complete list of parcels that were broken or lost. I hope the process will be straightforward," she said.
The incident has once again sparked discussion on the importance of proper handling procedures for fragile items during delivery.
