SEREMBAN:
An actress and her husband, who were previously arrested after being suspected of being involved in a land sale and purchase scam, are now being investigated in connection with a fraud case involving an attempt to obtain a non-existent state award, involving a loss of RM23,120.

Seremban district police chief Azahar Abdul Rahim said his department received a report regarding an incident on Dec 18 last year where the victim, a government pensioner, was offered the award carrying the title of “Datuk”.

“She then made six payments from January to November 2025 involving the amount before realising she had been cheated.

“Further investigations are being conducted under Section 420 of the Penal Code,” he said in a statement here today.

The media previously reported that the actress and her husband were remanded for three days before it was extended for another day until today to assist in investigations into a fraudulent case involving the sale of a non-existent land lot involving a loss of RM1.5 million. - FMT
