BAGAN DATUK: Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (Felcra) Bhd has announced a final Consolidation and Rehabilitation (P&P) profit distribution for 2025 amounting to RM302,912,987, benefiting 71,680 participants nationwide.
Its chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub said the amount brings the total profit distribution for 2025 to RM632,757,777, which includes interim, monthly and final distributions, marking Felcra's best performance in 15 years.
"The payments will be made in stages and are expected to be completed before Hari Raya Aidilfitri," he told reporters at the Rural and Regional Development Ministry's Santunan Kasih Ramadan programme here today.
The symbolic presentation was launched by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also rural and regional development minister.
Ahmad Jazlan said Felcra hopes to maintain the same momentum this year by improving plantation management to further increase profits.
He said the strong performance was driven by higher commodity prices and improved plantation management, particularly in oil palm.
He added that the average price of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) rose from RM4,182.27 in 2024 to RM4,283.33 this year, an increase of 2.42 per cent, with a notable jump of 23.7 per cent recorded in 2025 compared with the same period the previous year.
"The overall FFB price also rose from RM794 to RM850 per tonne, representing a seven per cent increase," he said.
At the event, Zahid also presented contributions to tahfiz students in the Bagan Datuk area and students of FELCRA College.
Earlier, Zahid, who is also Bagan Datuk MP, presented contributions totalling RM246,800 to 1,584 recipients comprising orphans, single mothers, asnaf and persons with disabilities under the Ihya Ramadan Al-Mubarak Bagan Datuk programme. - NST
