Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah says the decision was made after the university’s student disciplinary committee convened on March 9.

UMPSA vice-chancellor Yatimah Alias said proceedings against the male student concluded after the university’s student disciplinary committee convened on March 9, Bernama reported, quoting her statement.
“Based on the proceedings, the student was found guilty and expelled in accordance with Rule 58 of the UMPSA (Student Discipline) Regulations 2024,” she said.
She said the university hoped the decision would serve as a lesson to all students and staff to exercise greater caution in their conduct to avoid tarnishing the institution’s reputation.
Yatimah said the university would not compromise on the dissemination of content that would incite hatred and involved religion, race or royalty, as it could spark racial tensions and undermine public harmony in the country.
