.SUNGAI BULOH: The Putrajaya Line MRT experienced disruptions this afternoon after a lightning strike affected train operations along the route.
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail), in a statement, said the incident was first detected at 4.22pm, causing delays to all trains on the Putrajaya Line.
"The operations team is actively carrying out repair works to restore train services and return operations to normal as soon as possible.
"Passengers intending to use the Putrajaya Line MRT are advised to seek alternative transportation," it said.
Rapid Rail added that additional staff have been deployed to stations along the line to manage congestion.
It said passengers requiring assistance can approach station officers and auxiliary police at the stations.
"Any developments will be updated via Rapid KL's social media platforms and station announcements.
"Rapid Rail apologises to all passengers affected by the delays and thanks them for their cooperation." - NST
