PETALING JAYA: A lorry driver was startled after encountering a tiger walking along the roadside in Gerik, Perak.
A video of the wild animal, captured by the lorry driver, went viral on social media yesterday, raising concern among road users travelling through the area.
In the video shared on TikTok by Fazel JRTB, the tiger is seen walking along the roadside in the dark.
The lorry driver, who was passing through the area, sounded his horn several times upon spotting the tiger before the animal ran back into the forest.
"A tiger sighting recorded by a road user at Bukit Jala, not far from Pulau Banding, Tasik Temenggor.
"Please be aware, especially motorcyclists and cyclists. This footage was recorded by a lorry driver last night," the TikTok post read.
Meanwhile, members of the public have advised road users to be more cautious, particularly motorcyclists and cyclists.
