No injuries or casualties were reported when the fire broke out about 6pm.
Presint 14 Fire and Rescue station chief Dianty Hussain said the department received a distress call at 6.10pm.
Two fire engines from the Presint 14 and Presint 7 stations were immediately dispatched to the scene.
"A total of 12 personnel were involved in the operation. The fire was brought completely under control by 6.30pm.

Dianty said while school sessions had ended for the day, sports training was being held within the school compound when the incident occurred.
