Man found in Klang drain died of heart disease, say cops

Klang Selatan police chief Lim Jit Huey said the man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was later taken to the hospital for a post-mortem.

A man found dead in a drain in Taman Sentosa, Klang, earlier today died from a heart problem, says Klang Selatan police chief Lim Jit Huey.

Lim said the police received a report from a member of the public about discovering an unconscious man in a drain in Lorong Hulubalang 10C, Taman Sentosa.

An ambulance from Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital arrived at the location around 2.05pm, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was later taken to the hospital for a post-mortem.

“Early reports show that the cause of death was ischaemic heart disease due to coronary artery atherosclerosis.

“The case has been classified as sudden death,” said Lim in a statement.

He also said preliminary investigations found that the deceased, in his 50s, worked as a contractor for Air Selangor and had been working in the nearby area.

Earlier today, pictures of the man’s body floating in the drain went viral on Threads social media platform. - FMT
