A 61-year-old woman told police she accidentally stepped on the accelerator while leaving the hotel after visiting her family.

Timur Laut police chief Abdul Rozak Muhammad said police received a report shortly after the 11.15am incident from a 61-year-old woman driving the car.
The driver told police she was leaving the premises after visiting her family at the hotel when the incident occurred. “She mistakenly pressed the accelerator pedal, causing the car to crash into the hotel lobby,” he said in a statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
Photos from the scene showed a Porsche Taycan lodged inside the hotel premises, with shattered glass, damaged wall panels and debris scattered across the café area.
Parts of the ceiling and lobby fixtures also appeared to have sustained damage. - FMT
