- THANK YOU TO THE READER WHO SENT ME THIS LINK.
- I COULD NOT BELIEVE THIS EITHER.
- BEFORE WHEN I MENTIONED THIS, I WAS ONLY JOKING.
- JUST BEING SARCASTIC, IN MY USUAL STYLE.
- I NEVER ENVISAGED THIS WOULD REALLY COME TRUE.
- THIS IS QUITE UNBELIEVABLE.

FMT Reporters | September 16, 2017
My Local Maid programme : enquiries for maids from Australia and Britain.
program for impoverished women chance to earn living
inquiries from Australia, Britain, New Zealand.
of four inquiries none successful just yetAmong problems inability to speak English, low pay
RM1,000 - RM1,500 wages for these maids in M'sia.
if job scope, responsibilities more, fee is higher.
Employers to provide accommodation and food
amount will not be enough if work in foreign lands.
Singapore best destination for Malaysian maids
to set up training centre for applicants
posters in low cost housing areas, bus stations to recruit local maids
mostly from Kelantan and Terengganu.
program for jobless women nationwide, widows, homeless
My comments :
Another version of this story is also carried in The Star here.
The Star version says that these maids are also holders of diplomas (in accounting) and degree holders. You know like that engineer girl the other day who is also working as a cuci jamban maid.
Why send girls through three years diploma or four years university degree courses just to become cuci jamban maids? That is a terrible waste of money and our limited resources.
Why not make them cuci jamban maids after Darjah Enam Primary School?
You do not need a diploma or degree just to become a cuci jamban maid.
Why not give the university places to other deserving girls and boys who will use their university degrees and diplomas to become real engineers and accountants?
And it is Kelantan and Terengganu again. Following closely should be Kedah. These are the most backward states on the Peninsula.
These are also the most religious states.
Obviously religion and "backwardness" go hand in hand.
And obviously religion and laziness go hand in hand.
Err . . . thats how you become jobless.
And it also goes without saying that the jobless women, widows and homeless here refers to Malays.
I doubt any Chinese (or Indians) will be applying to become maids in Singapore or Australia.
If these maids are destined for Singapore or Australia, then what about makanan halal, tempat tidur halal and cuci jamban bukan halal?
Isnt that going to be a problem?
Or is that a big issue only INSIDE Malaysia?
Outside Malaysia anything goes?
The guy in the picture above should be commended for trying to help jobless Malay girls, homeless girls and widows (widows in Malay is "janda" aka single mothers, divorced girls - whose numbers are exploding).
His own story is interesting.
The guy is actually a lawyer.
Now he has become a 'maid agency'.
He charges clients RM5000 per maid.
So there is money to be made as well.
But you need to know business bro. Now you dont need to pay RM12,000 to some middle man to hire an Indon maid. You dont even need to pay RM5000.
You can now hire Indon maids by the hour. In my area the rate is RM20 only per hour per Indon maid.
So if you live in a terrace house or semi D and you have an Indon maid come in for 2 hours a day, that is only RM40 per day. If the maid comes in THREE times a week, that is only RM120 or RM480 for 12 visits a month.
At our house, we have just started off with TWO MAIDS for three hours just once a week. It comes to RM120 per week or RM480 per month.
Tak payahlah bayar RM12000 or RM5000.
I can also call Rafiqul Islam (not his real name) my mini-conglomerate Bangla grass cutter cum landscaper cum gas tank supplier cum house renovator to find Indon maids. I believe my Bangla guy knows many Indon lady friends.
So your business model may not work in the long run.
What I am trying to say is - these are low skilled, plenty of labour available jobs.
The supply is always more than demand for these low skilled, menial, manual, cuci jamban jobs.
The barriers to entry are almost ZERO. If you have two arms and two legs, you can become a cuci jamban maid. No special skills or education are needed.
But our parents did not send us to university to become cuci jamban maids.
We did not craft the NEP to manufacture cuci jamban maids.
After 47 years of the NEP is this the final outcome?
Diploma holders, degree holdres and our young women becoming cuci jamban house maids in Malaysia, Singapore and/or Australia.
And these are only Malay girls.
Or mostly Malay girls.
Everything is wrong. The education system is kaput.
The gomen's economic policies are kaput.
They do not know what the hell they are doing.
The GST will create more cuci jamban Malay girls. Mark my words.
Yes the GST is making the Malays poorer.
The Malays have little or no surplus income.
The Malays have little or no savings.
Yet they all have to pay GST.
Meaning the GST must and already is eating into their assets and whatever reserves they have.
